Affordable Housing Program General Fund Competitive Round Opens May 2

FHLBank Chicago has allocated $20.7 million to its 2022 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) General Fund. Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, May 2 through 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday, June 10.

FHLBank Chicago has published recorded webinars on the 2022 AHP General Fund. These webinars are organized by topic, including: 1) Overview and Eligibility; 2) Feasibility; 3) Scoring; 4) Post-Award Compliance; 5) Key Changes for 2022; and 6) Guide Against Common Mistakes.

The Guide for Sponsor Applicants, Guide for Member Applicants, and the application exhibits have been updated for 2022 and posted to our AHP Program Policy and Forms webpage. Potential applicants are encouraged to review these resources.

Community First® Diverse Developer Initiative is Open for Applications

The Community First® Diverse Developer Initiative opens for applications today, April 4. This competitive grant program provides nonprofit and for-profit organizations, in collaboration with FHLBank members, with funding for career and talent development initiatives supporting diverse developers of affordable housing in FHLBank Chicago’s district of Illinois and Wisconsin. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, May 13. Read the application for more details and program guidelines.

Community First® Award Recipients

FHLBank Chicago recently announced its 2022 Community First® Award recipients. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements of member institutions and their local partners as they work together to strengthen their communities. Award recipients receive $10,000 to support a nonprofit organization of their choosing. Meet the inspiring recipients.

 

AHP Guide for Project Management Updated

The AHP Guide for Project Management has been updated. Members and sponsors with AHP General Fund projects should review this guide for direction on semi-annual progress reporting, extensions, disbursements, and making updates in AHP Online.
