Lafayette L. Crump, JD, is Commissioner of the Department of City Development (DCD) for the City of Milwaukee, charged with improving the quality of life in Milwaukee by guiding and promoting development that creates jobs, builds wealth, and strengthens the urban environment. Prior to joining DCD, Mr. Crump served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Diversity, Vendor and Engagement Officer for the 2020 Democratic National Convention Host Committee. Additionally, he practiced law for several years while also serving as Chief Operating Officer of Prism Technical Management & Marketing Services, LLC.
