
Allison M. Clements
Allison Clements is Executive Director of the Illinois Housing Council (IHC), a nonprofit membership association that represents hundreds of organizations active in affordable housing development across Illinois. In this role, Ms. Clements advocates for legislation, policies, and best practices that will advance affordable housing across the state. Under Allison’s leadership, IHC has experienced significant growth in the areas of membership, programs, and legislative accomplishments. Prior to her role at IHC, Ms. Clements served as Director of Housing Initiatives at the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus. Ms. Clements currently serves on the Illinois State Housing Task Force and is a member of the Leadership Committee of The Preservation Compact. She has a master’s degree in public policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College.
