Biography: 

Chris Mier
Managing Director and Chief Economist, Analytical Services Division, Loop Capital Markets

Chris Mier is the Chief Economist and Strategist at Loop Capital and is also a Director of the firm's Analytical Services Division (ASD). Mr. Mier has been named to SMITH’s Research and Gradings’ Municipal All‐Star Team numerous times as a sell‐side strategist and a Director of Research. Mr. Mier is a regular speaker and panelist, including for the Government Finance Officers Association, Municipal Analysts Group of New York, and Chicago Municipal Analysts Society, and consults regularly with the Federal Reserve. Prior to joining Loop Capital, Mr. Mier was an institutional Portfolio Manager in the Municipal. He has also served as Senior Portfolio Manager of numerous municipal funds at Scudder Kemper Investments, prior to which he held several posts at Comerica Bank in Detroit, including credit analyst, portfolio manager, and trader in the Funds Management Department.

Joseph Calvanico
Managing Director, Real Estate Practice, Loop Capital Financial Consulting Services

Joseph J. Calvanico is a Managing Director in Loop Capital’s Financial Consulting Services business (LCFCS). His expertise is in Real Property and Tangible Asset Valuation services, including commercial and industrial, multi‐residential real property as well as manufacturing machinery and equipment, furniture, fixtures, and computer equipment. Further, Mr. Calvanico has experience in the valuation of aircraft, ocean‐going vessels, railroads, and other specialized equipment. With over 35 years of experience, Mr. Calvanico’s work has supported matters related to financial reporting, lending, feasibility studies, tax documentation, bankruptcy, disputes, and expert testimony having served thousands of clients, both large and small. Joe is a frequent speaker on the subject of property value and property taxation and has authored over 100 articles on property value related subjects.

Jeff Mullins
Managing Director, Taxable Fixed Income Division, Loop Capital Markets

Jeffrey Mullins is a Managing Director in the taxable fixed income division at Loop Capital Markets focusing on trading across agency commercial mortgages, non‐agency residential and commercial mortgages, ABS, and CLOs. Before joining Loop Capital, Jeff was Co‐Head of Originations and Strategy at Stabilis Capital Management, where he was responsible for originating, analyzing, and monitoring investments in commercial real estate, consumer loans, and senior secured debt facilities to specialty finance companies. Prior to Stabilis, he led the securitized products sales, trading, and capital markets business for CRT Capital Group, was head of the subprime mortgage and ABS trading desk at Jefferies, and started and led the mortgage credit default swap business at RBS Greenwich Capital, where he was also head of the ABS and subprime mortgage secondary trading business. Previous to RBS, he worked at Banc One Capital Markets in ABS trading.

Grant Sanders
Vice President, Corporate Investment Banking Division, Loop Capital Markets

Grant Sanders is a Vice President in the Corporate Investment Banking Division at Loop Capital Markets (Chicago) focusing on Capital Markets, Strategic Capital Advisory, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Loop Capital, Grant was the Accounting Manager for Triad Consulting Services, Inc., a small specialized holding company doing business with various municipalities, and private entities within the greater Chicagoland area. Previously, Grant was with Northern Trust, where he served in a variety of professional roles, including Institutional Investment Sales and Client Servicing, Portfolio Management, Wealth Advisory, and Investment Policy & Strategic Fulfillment.
