Charles D. Young

Charles D. Young has been with Invitation Homes (formerly Colony Starwood Homes and Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust), a public real estate investment trust, since 2012. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since March 2015 and as Senior Division Vice President and Regional Director prior to that. Invitation Homes acquires, renovates, leases, and manages residential assets in the United States, focused primarily on acquiring single-family rental homes and non-performing residential mortgage loans. Prior to his employment with Invitation Homes, Mr. Young served as Executive Vice President at Mesa Development, a private real estate development firm, from 2003 to 2012, and as a senior analyst at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Young started his career in the National Football League before co-founding and serving from 1994 to 2000 as managing director of the Kaleidoscope Group, a firm that provides management consulting, human resource, and strategic diversity initiative services to Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Young earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University.
